8.15 Joyous Memories

The wedding invitations had been sent out, but a wedding wasn't all Brooke had planned for that day. Addison had also scheduled the twins birthday for earlier that day.

Brooke wasn't the least bit upset that "her day" wasn't just about her. She was excited to share it with the two best nieces ever. So what if she was biased?

Her extensive working with the twins ensured that she would take them to the cake on their birthdays.

The family gathered around the table to welcome the girls to their new responsibilities.

The girls quickly began to show their differences. Lauren, who loved the outdoors, quickly harassed Uncle Wilson to take her outside. While Shante the couch potato, preferred to bond with Noah over Saturday morning cartoons.

The morning sped by and soon it was time for the whole family to attend the wedding.

Anastasia broke out her guitar, something that made Wilson's fingers itch. He longed to feel the strings beneath his own fingers.

Sim weekly reported it to be the "wedding of the year," as it wasn't everyday the hometown four star celebrity sweetheart got married. Especially lost cost, family get togethers such as Brooke's.

Jodi showed up to congratulate her friend and party with the newly weds.

Finally there was the vow the Noah never thought he'd hear Brooke speak.

After the party, the newly weds returned home tired. However, Brooke had one more surprise for Wilson... a brand new drum set.

(((At this point in the game Kyra and Isaiah are still alive (Gen 2), all of Gen 3, 4, 5 is dead, All of Gen 6 is dead except the kids of the Gen 5 non heir, and for Gen 7 (that would be Noah and his brothers) only Gage the first born is gone. I seriously find it funny how that works... ))

8.14 The Proposal

Wilson looked down at his watch. It was uncanny for Brooke to be late. Even though she was busy with the firm, she was pretty good at scheduling work so it didn't interfere with them. With dates occurring more often than not, Wilson was getting comfortable in his relationship with Brooke. He was getting older and starting to settle down it was time to take their relationship to the next level.

"Sorry," Brooke said slinging sand into the air, "Lauren got sick on me. I had to change." Wilson shook his head and took her arm, leading her down the ocean's edge. They continued walking sometimes in silence, other times talking. Wilson loved to hear her jabber about the twins. As sure as she was that she never wanted children, you'd never know when she was gushing about her nieces.

Once silence enveloped them again Wilson knew it was time. He stopped walking and knelt to the ground, using the "Oh I dropped something" technique. Brooke was used to his clumsy ways and didn't think anything about it. At least until he almost dropped the ring box.

"Wilson," she started as he cut her off with his well rehearsed speech about his longing for her to be his wife. Even though she was hesitant in the beginning of their relationship, those insecurities had long since faded away.

She accepted.

8.13 I got this Mission

Brooke was busy. Her architecture firm was growing each day, and even when she was off, she'd spend time brainstorming new ideas in her den.

Brooke found time to go watch Wilson play at PURE on open mic night. She couldn't help but notice how sexy he was when he was lost in chords.

She would also make time to visit Addison and her two children, Shante and Lauren. Brooke loved to play aunt to the babies, and she could not wait until they could have slumber parties together.

In between assignments, Brooke would work with the girls. Helping her overwhelmed sister teach them to walk and talk.

Brooke occasionally would visit the girls with Wilson. Date nights occurred more often now. Although she was still a bit shaky towards their romance, she indulged him. She could never understand why Dean was so hostile towards him. It didn't seem like Wilson knew either.

Brooke wasn't the only one that enjoyed spending time with the twins, Noah found his way over there many days. He enjoyed seeing grandbabies from somewhere, he knew Brooke wasn't in any hurry to provide him with any.

At night, Brooke still didn't sleep well. No matter how hard she worked. She'd always wake running the same desolate, familiar streets alone.

Tonight was different. This time she was running. But her destination was clear. Wilson.

((So without my story, I'd have nothing to this generation. So far the twins are progressing well. Obviously Brooke isn't having any babies so I'm following the twins as closely as possible. Nothing really to report otherwise.))

8.12 Riddles

Noah was slightly excited to see Wilson walk through the front door. He had always felt like Wilson had good intentions. This was easier for him to accept after realizing he couldn't control Brooke's every move anymore. At least, he reasoned, Wilson was a good guy.
"Bringing my daughter home again?" He taunted as Wilson followed Brooke through the house. "We're just going out back, the side gate was locked," Brooke said sharply as she stomped through the dinning room. Wilson just shrugged and followed after flashing an apologetic smile at Noah.

Wilson found Brooke out back on a swing set. He noted how she looked sad and lonely. "What's going on?" He asked as he approached her. Brooke sat in silence as he got closer and closer. Instead of asking her again he went to stand behind her and wait it out. So far the strategy had worked multiple times. "I've just decided I'm tired of the lies," she replied finally.

Wilson gave her a soft push as she began explaining her run in with Ricky and the load he dumped on her. Brooke stopped talking just short of tears. Wilson quickly wrapped her in his arms in attempts to comfort her, "What if they were just trying to protect you?" Brooke pulled way, as if she had never considered it a possibility.

If looks could kill, Wilson was sure he'd be dead. But Brooke still stood there allowing him to hold her, and he was thankful for it. "You don't lie to someone you love," Brooke spat. "No," Wilson began, tilting his body towards her, "but you wouldn't tell them the whole truth because you didn't want to hurt them."

Suddenly Brooke realized he was withholding information. "What are you not telling me?" She asked, breaking away from him. Brooke could only imagine what he wasn't telling her. Was he a reformed renegade vampire with fifteen wives all generations older than him but did look any older than herself? Was it possible he had six children? Or maybe he was just playing games. Just being nice because she was vulnerable. "Speak to your mother. When your ready."

Wilson spoke in code too much. Speak to your mother, how was that the least bit useful? But Brooke would do it. One day. He'd never lied to her yet. Brooke laid her head back onto his chest, "I've to get up early tomorrow. Go save the world." Brooke could feel his body shake in agreement, "One sneaky teen at a time." Brooke didn't have to look up to know that he was smiling.

"One more thing," he said pulling away slightly, "Can we do this again tomorrow?" Brooke laughed before responding, "call me." Wilson left willingly. At least tonight. Even though he had to leave her again at least this time he knew there would be a tomorrow.
