Lexi walked towards the crystal clear ocean. The sun was shining brightly over head and a cool breeze fluttered through the air. Ti-Ning had called her up and invited her to a late picnic lunch. Today, she just happened to have Joseph with her. Now that he was in school, his parents needed someone to watch him until they got off work."Aunt Lex, can I go play?" Joseph asked as soon as they got to the ocean. Lexi nodded her head as she searched out Ti-Ning.
She found him, tucked away from everyone. "So what's up?" she said, as she approached him.
"I'm getting married," he said excitedly. Excitement welled up inside Lexi. "That's amazing!" She said hugging him.
Lexi was excited for her best friend. This was what he deserved. Even though she was suddenly filled with joy, she felt the weight of her ring on her finger.
