7.10 Let this get away

The girl's birthday was quickly approaching. Gavin wanted to surprise them with a pool themed birthday party. He invited some extended family members, and made sure the party was scheduled for a time when both parents would be home.

It went off without a hitch. Both girls aged up well and started to show new traits.

Noah now felt the pressures of adulthood. He had spent the whole day celebrating his daughters birthday; he had forgotten his own.

But his parents were there to remind him.

Noah continued to push the girls to excel academically. Addison really took to home economics. Noah smiled, she'd make a great wife one day.

It was apparent when Brooke picked up the paintbrush why she was so bad at the peg game. She was too artistic to think that logical. Many nights he'd sneak down stairs to the basement to find Brooke painting away. He'd always loved watching his grandmother paint. He was glad to find her taking an interest in the family pasttimes.

But while the girls were busying growing into themselves, Angel was trying to connect with her sons. They had all grown up and became busy with their lives and their children. Anthony came around frequently. It was during one of their chats that Angel decided it was time to move on.
Although she didn't feel ready to go, Gage hadn't given her a son yet, the Grim was ready.

And he turned a blind eye to her humanly pleas.
