Unlike his brothers, Noah wasn't in any hurry to wed and move off. A place free of bills? Warm food each night? His brothers were fools for leaving. Even if he wanted to leave, Noah couldn't afford a house in Sunset Valley on a Paper Boy salary.
Noah did what was best for Noah. He stayed with his parents and worked on trying to break the journalism hold on the city.
He spent his nights on the town with Anastasia. Using his pay checks to treat her to three course meals at the diner and walks on the beach. She was recently divorced, so he felt he needed to keep her busy, to keep her mind off it.
Some nights, they spend the whole night together, talking to each other about anything and everything. They had a favorite place, a small little park behind her ex-husband's house.
Some mornings he would wake up alone in the park, Anastasia no where to be found. Even though he would never remember falling asleep, he'd remember his vivid dreams.
