7.3 The lost pages

Gavin knew something was different about Anastasia Skaggs. She only came around at night, she would never eat with the family, and she was always nibbling on a strange fruit. Gavin found it abnormally strange that she had the same skin condition Ricky had.

He knew he had to do something. How was he ever going to get Noah out of the house with a wife when Noah was obviously falling for someone uninterested?

Gavin knew his son was falling hard. Gavin would disappear sometimes for nights at a time. He'd usually return, wearing the same clothes from the day before, with random rashes over his body.

Gavin knew to go with his gut. He need to contact Ricky.

Ricky spent many nights with Madison before she died. He loved her then, and even though he was currently married to her step daughter, he still loved her. He offered many times to change her before her death. Ricky wanted her forever.

Of course Madison knew the truth about him. That it wasn't some "accidental contamination" from his travels abroad. He was a vampire. A cold blooded, blood lustful vampire. They came up with the skin disease cover to tell their daughter. There were somethings just easier that way.

Even though Madison wouldn't let him change her, her wishes were clear. Protect my children. Ricky felt it was the least he could do for her after what he had done to himself.

So when Gavin called he knew exactly what was going on, and he knew he was just the person to fix it.
